Quality & testing
How a pump goes from certified bar stock to a sealed box with a test sheet — and the four places where a bad part gets caught.
A fuel pump can be wrong without looking wrong
A plunger ground 2 µm loose will still start the engine. It will idle, it will even work — and it will lose pressure under load, over-fuel, and kill the engine three weeks later in a customer's quarry.
That is the failure mode that costs distributors their reputation, and it is invisible to a visual inspection. The only way to catch it is to measure flow on a bench. So that is what we do, on every complete unit, without exception.
Material
Spectrometer check of every bar-stock batch against its mill certificate. Wrong steel never reaches a machine.
Machining
Grinding and lapping in-house. Plunger-to-barrel clearance 0.5–1 µm, measured and recorded per pair.
Calibration
Flow and pressure measured at eight points across the RPM range on calibrated test benches.
Before dispatch
100% visual check, packing photographed, photo set attached to your order record.
What is actually measured
Calibrated annually against reference standards. These are the numbers on the test sheet that comes in the box.
| Check | What it catches | Where it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery volume | Worn plunger, wrong cam lift, wrong plunger diameter | All pumps |
| Delivery uniformity | One cylinder running rich or lean | Multi-cylinder pumps |
| Injection pressure | Weak delivery valve spring, wrong opening pressure | All pumps |
| Governor cut-off | Over-speed, engine runaway | Mechanical governors |
| Spray pattern | Blocked or damaged nozzle holes | Injectors and nozzles |
| Back leakage | Lapped clearance out of spec | CR injectors |
| Seating vacuum | Delivery valve not sealing | Inline pumps |

If a part fails within warranty and the fault is ours, we replace it or credit it — we do not ask you to argue about it first. Send photos and the fault description; we answer within 12 working hours.
Want a test sheet before you buy?
Ask for it on your inquiry. We will send the bench readings for the actual unit we intend to ship you.
